The ground on which the Editor of the Aurora commenced the action against C. P. Wayne, is the following paragraph which appeared in the Gazette of the United States:

Question--Mister Duane,
"Do you know any thing about a person, who, when you were in Clonwell, passed by the name of Dun? --Do you recollect his being at a frolic one evening, at which a girl was killed, and his sudden disappearance from that country?--Do you know whether he passed over to India, and from that to England per force, and thence to some part of America, and there changed his name? These are serious questions, Mr. Duane, and require an answer, which if you cannot give, we will endeavour to have answered by a person who is able and willing."
