Full Text

There is no denying the fact that Glenwood is or may be in need of and should have a military organization to act under direction of federal or state military authorities at such times as there may be need of their services. In the event that they may not be needed, no harm can come from the military organization and the training and discipline which such organization necessarily involves.

But in case there might be a need for such organization, it will be comforting for all good citizens to know that a military organization is available in our midst, and it is also to the general interest of the community to know that the splendid armory recently purchased in Glenwood by the state of Colorado will be used for the purpose for which such purchase was made. Let us hope that Colonel Bartlett, in his work of recruiting a Glenwood company, may meet with the proper encouragement and assistance.
