March 13. The Manner of conferring the Order of the Bath on Colonel Keith is reported by many Persons to have been as singular as the Resolution was sudden. Their Account is, that as soon as it was determined in the Cabinet, which was late in the Evening, a Courier was immediately dispatched to that Minister with Ensigns of the Order, and a Letter, by which he was directed to invest himself, and appear at Court immediately. The Mail of the same Night was detained several Hours, to give the Advantage of so much Time to the Courier.
