Sir--I have to inform the Department that all my works have arrived here from the Arkansas and Red Rivers, viz: The "B M. Straugh" and "Laura," on yesterday. The "Pearl" and "Erodicator," to-day. - The p H. M. Bravo" brought up the engine of the Jeta, that boat being too frail to warrant the risk and expense of running her up the Ohio.
Till this opportunity I seize to state to you that my operations in Red river has been complete, and that a great improvement has been made this spring in Arkansas river, in the Mississippi there are no rafts left below the Ohio, and all that would be hazardous in low water in April on freights have been removed
