A gentleman observing our want of light upon the subject of military matters, called on Saturday to post us with regard to the progress of military affairs. He informed us, we were pleased to learn, that there is successfully organized in this city a new company commanded by Captain ". , styled the Washington Artillery. They drill regularly and now having uniform made, which will be in readiness for the 4th of July, which we have assurance they are to celebrate in style with the favorite brass band.
