From Washington City, Feb. 13.

HIGH COURT OF IMPEACHMENT.

Monday, February 11.

The court was opened at 12 o'clock, and continued sitting till 5 o'clock—The whole time was occupied in the examination of Edward Tilghman, Wm. S. Biddle, Wm. Rawle and Geo. Hay, witnesses on the part of the house of representatives.

Tuesday, February 12.

The court was opened at half past 12, and continued till 4 o'clock.

Geo. Hay's examination was finished; and Philip N. Nicholas, John T. Mason and John Heath, were likewise examined—on the part of the house of representatives.

Wednesday, Feb. 13.

James Triplett, a witness on the part of the prosecution, was examined.

John Heath, examined yesterday, was called, and cross examined.

John Bassett, a witness on the part of Judge Chase was examined, in consideration of the particular situation of his family requiring his immediate return; when the court rose about 4 o'clock.

Thursday, Feb. 14.

George Read, James Lea, John Crow, John Montgomery, John T. Mason, Samuel H. Smith, and John Stephen, were examined on the part of the prosecution; and Edmund Randolph—on behalf of Judge Chase, on account of his desire to return home without delay.

The records of the proceedings in the cases of Callender and Fries were then adduced; when Mr J. Randolph stated that the evidence on the part of the prosecution was closed, so far as it could be derived from witnesses that were present, nine being absent, it was hoped that should they hereafter attend, their testimony would be received.

In this the court acquiesced; when the court rose about 4 o'clock.
