Children, Blood Thic
Joseph A. Dugdale, will deliver an address to the children, who are especially invited, and all others who may come, on the Beauties of Christianity, in the Methodist Church, on next Tuesday, the first day of May at ten o'clock.
We have read of "Uncle Joseph Dugdale's" meetings with children in Eastern Pennsylvania and other places for several years past, and rejoice to know the little folks of Winchester are soon to have an opportunity of attending one of those pleasant and instructive meetings which have been enjoyed by the children of other places. We have in our possession quite a number of testimonials to friend Dugdale's good standing at home, clipped from the public prints from time to time, but as a goodly number of our people heard him on last Monday night, we think it unnecessary to produce them.
We sincerely hope that the schools in town will be adjourned, and the children marched in procession to this meeting. We should also be glad to see the children from the country. The Sabbath Schools should see that their children are in attendance. The Church will hold scores of little folks, and we hope to see it filled to its utmost capacity.
