Full Text

We were yesterday gratified with a view of one of our finest frigates majestically approaching our harbor, with her "swelling sails" and "streamers waving in the wind:" it was the Constitution, under the command of Captain Jesse Wilkinson, from Pensacola. Though the tide was, what is called, "dead low water" she crossed the bar and came all the way up with perfect ease, and without disturbing the mud, to the anchorage ground off Town Point, where she came to.

The Constitution has been cruising nearly two years on the West India station. Her officers and crew are generally in good health, with the exception of some few cases of diseases among the latter, not of a dangerous character.
