CHARLESTOWN. April 7.

On the 24th of January, his Britannick Majesty opened the session of his Parliament with a speech ;--in which he mentions, that the disputes which threatened to disturb the tranquility of Europe were brought to an amicable conclusion-that his subjects begin to enjoy the happiness consequent upon peace, in the augmentation of commerce, the increase of the revenue, and public credit of the nation--Ardently desires, that the strictest oeconomy may be observed in every department--and is persuaded, that the nourishing state of the revenue will enable them to make every necessary provision for the public service, for maintaining their naval force upon the most solid and respectable footing, and for the diminution of their publick debt.
