The Chief of the Bureau of Statistics has received a letter from James Rea, Esq., U. S. Consul at Belfast, Ireland, in which, after acknowledging the receipt of a large number of immigration reports, he says: "I am happy to tell you that most of the books have been distributed, and that they are producing the results intended by their publication. During the month of April just past some 3,300 of the flower of the youth of the agricultural districts have left this port for the United States, and still they go."
