Winchester, Jan. 8.
SHOCKING ACCIDENT:
On Sunday evening last as Miss Gaw, daughter of Mr. Robert Gaw of Woodstock, was returning home from Stovers-town, her horse took fright, and after running a short distance precipitated her headlong on a pile of rocks, by which her skull was so severely fractured as to terminate her existence in a few hours. Miss Gaw was in the 18th year of her age; and is represented as having been a young lady of amiable and unassuming deportment and possessing many virtues.—Gass.
