Excursion Dates Are Finally Set
Time of Davis' Visit Will Be Utilized

Information from V. T. Craig, president of the Emmett Chamber of Commerce, indicates that some date between May 4 and May 10 will be set for the long contemplated excursion to the Black Canyon dam. It is only within the past few days the actual construction work has been undertaken to the point where a visit to the dam would provide something worth seeing.

The fact that D. W. Davis, former Idaho governor, and now an assistant to the secretary of the interior, is to visit the Black Canyon project early in May led to selecting this date for the excursion. The exact date of his visit has not yet been determined.

According to present plans, excursionists will be asked to take lunches their being no facilities at the Black Canyon dam site for supplying refreshments to the large crowd that is expected to visit the dam on excursion day. Coffee alone will be provided.
