JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. Track prospects are the brightest since when this Lincoln Mo., thin-clads won the Western Intercollegiate team title ahead of last year's squad plus some valuable additions make the quad formidable. Rod Illington, the Meier of the squad is ineligible to compete but hope to be eligible, soon. Plenty of class sprinters are on hand including "Physe" Ford; Reg' Charlie Luthy, Hartley; Sam Duncan, and Freddy Stanks, veteran dash man. Gray from Vardon, Madison from Sumner of St. Louis and Ball Campbell are new dash men who are expected to extend the vets. "Iron Man" Calhoun, veteran miler; Johnson, Kan. National Star and Jacob and Riley, Va. on Ace are the outstanding distance candidates. Freddie Stanks a strong entry in the sixteen shot. "Sully" Buckner, 20 foot discus tosser, is a fine prospect. Borne is a capable high hurdler. Lincoln will meet Wilberforce in a dual meet in May and also attend the Tuskegee Relays.
