Brookhart Not Backing Third Party Program
DES MOINES, May 2.-Senator Smith W. Brookhart, in a letter to W. G. Bay, of Grinnell, made public here today, states that he is not participating in any third party movement in national politics and has no intention of joining such a party should he be nominated on the Republican ticket in the Iowa primaries in June.
The letter is in response to a request from the Grinnell man that Senator Brookhart state his attitude in regard to rumors that Brookhart was assisting in the organization of a third party.
