Full Text

We hear it rumored that the Maxwell Land Grant company has, in addition to its very generous offer of free right of way and all the tie and bridge timber needed for its use in building, also offered the Denver & El Paso Short Line road an interest in its immense coal beds. If that is true it would seem as though about the only inducement left to induce capitalists to take hold would be to build the road and donate it outright. It is thought that before many days are over word will be received that parties are ready and willing to take the bonds and that construction will commence at once.
