Local Council On Juvenile Delinquency
By Carlos V. Lindsey

Members of the Citizens Committee of the Local Council on Juvenile Delinquency, sponsored by Sheriff Joseph D. Lohman, Mrs. Mable Lindsey, Mrs. Mildred Bolden and Judge Carlos V. Lindsey, were guests of the sheriff at the formal dedication of the new 50 bed hospital at 26th and California, February 3, 1958.

The L. C. on J. D. is making speedy plans for the free picnic at Tinley Woods, 143rd st. and Harlem avenue on June 14.

This reminder is an effort to keep the parents and children informed in order that all may enjoy this grand, free affair.

Don't forget the recreation at Lincoln Memorial School every Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Parents, the Local Council on Juvenile Delinquency needs your support. As you know, the L.C.J.D. is the only official juvenile program in our village through which our youth can have access to the various free programs and resources set aside for the purpose of curbing juvenile delinquency in this area.

Surely, you who have children, should be interested in the welfare and the supplying of entertainment of your children which yourself cannot afford to give. You owe it to your child to give these programs your personal interest or financial assistance.

Boys and girls. don't forget the jam session at Sid's Car Wash, Friday, February 11, 1958 from 8. to 12 p.m. All dances given by the Local Council on Juvenile Delinquency are supervised.

Mrs. Mable Lindsey, Pres.
Mrs. Mildred Bolden, Sec'y
