PHILADELPHIA,

Extract of a Letter from Winchester, in Virginia, November 26.

"It was fortunate that the Convoy returned to Bedford, or they must have perished, at least suffered much in the Mountains, from the deep Snow.--Major Wilson, with 50 Volunteers, has marched to reinforce the Escort at Bedford. and I am sorry to acquaint you, that the Roads are again much infested by the Savages."

We have since learnt that the above mention'd having been reinforced with 150 Men, besides the Convoy had a second Time set off for Pittsburgh, the Volunteers under Major Wilson.
