NEWPORT. February 20.

Extract of a Letter, dated London, Nov. 20.

"Our Parliament is now sitting, and be assured the American Grievance will be redressed: People here have been deceived for some Time past—but their Eyes begin to be opened—and the Persons who have been guilty of misrepresenting his Majesty's American Subjects, 'tis thought will meet with their Deserts.—Perhaps you will scarcely believe it. but it is Fact, That some of your own Countrymen, and a few base Wretches, who were obliged to leave this Country, and have made their Fortunes among you, are the worst Enemies you have! Vile Ingratitude! Worse than the Sin of Witchcraft! Posts of Profit are what those villainous, despicable Tools are all aiming at: Thinking if they follow the Example of those who have already been preferred, they shall meet with the like Preferment."
