Of Council Report
(COLUMBUS, ANP) Bishop Garfield Bromley Oxnam, president of the Federal Council of Churches of Christ in America, announced Friday that the report on race relations and segregation which was presented at the council during its session in Columbus, and which attracted the attention of the entire country by its forthrightness came as a result of two-year study by a special committee set up by the council and of which Dr Will W. Alexander was chairman. The report was presented to the council by Dr. Alexander together with its recommendations which were accepted and which were largely written by the chairman. Bishop Oxnam in his main address said that Dr. Alexander who is vice-president of the Rosenwald fund, ought to feel a deep sense of satisfaction at seeing this crowning result of 50 years' work in the church come to such a triumphant conclusion.
