On last Sunday, December 13, the final communion services for the year were well attended at the Mt. Zion Independent Methodist Church.
The Sunday School met at the usual hour of 10 o'clock with the superintendent, Mr. T. A. Edwards, presiding.
The lesson subject was, "Are Any Certain People Favorites of God?"
The morning worship was held at 11:30 a.m. with the minister, Rev. P. A. Parker delivering the sermon from the theme, "Bread From Heaven," text, Exodus 16:4.
We were happy to have visiting with us Rev. Heyward, Rev. Griffin and several other friends.
The total amount raised for the day was $56.66.
The pastor, officers and members of the Mt. Zion Independent Methodist Church, as we come to the end of a year's work, wish to send special thanks to our many friends who have co-operated with us in such a fine way in all our affairs.
Everyone is welcome to worship with us at all times.
The church is located at Church Street at Millen Lane.
The new building is being erected at Golden and Eagle Streets.
A Christmas party and program is being sponsored for the children of the church, the date to be announced later.
