Warsaw, May 1. A copy has appeared here of the manifesto, which the Lithuanian Nuncio, M. Reytan, laid before the Diet of Warsaw, the 21st of April, and was signed by M. Reytan and M. Korsack, both Nuncios of Novogrod, the substance of which is as follows: "That they protest before the King and the whole republic that the laws of the nation have been broken through, that the Nuncios were deprived of their freedom of action and speech at the diet, and their characters unworthily traduced by Count Poninski, who having usurped the office of marshal of the diet, has not scrupled to arrest the Nuncios of Novogrod for attempting to hinder him; that they asserted upon the rights of the republic, particularly those appointed in 1669, where the freedom of speech is in the strongest manner confirmed to the Nuncios; that they moreover protested against the abusing their laws and freedom; and that they would not agree to any thing done at the diet till it could be held free, and to the advantage of their country."
