Full Text

Grekos M. Pinsky, at present the under dog in the Carr fight, is occupying comfortable quarters in the Broadway Jail. He has a suite of two rooms, carpeted and well lighted, the rear window opening on a magnificent vista of brick wall and blue sky, while the front window allows him to see all that passes on Broadway. Though busily engaged in preparing for the contest of which the Police Court fight was the preliminary, Pinsky does not appear to be losing flesh, being stouter than on his return, and wearing an expression as pleasant as could be expected of a man behind bars, however bright his prospects. He has little to say of his private affairs, but only wants a full and explicit presentation of his affairs to the grand jury. This he is laboring for now, being busily engaged with his attorneys every day in the company of a deputy sheriff. Though confident of coming out right eventually, he is nevertheless, as would naturally be expected, somewhat anxious as to the grand jury's action. He has been making arrangements for bail during the last few days, and expects to be released in a day or two.--S. F. Post.
