Labor Leaders Want an Amendment
to the Constitution.
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 20. The American Federation of Labor today declared for women suffrage with but one dissenting voice, calling on the judiciary committee of the national house of representatives to report on the resolution providing for submission of an amendment to the constitution allowing the women to vote.
The convention endorsed Representative Golden's bill in congress providing safeguards for passengers on ocean steamers that will prevent such disasters as that of the Slocum and the Valencia horrors.
