LETTER TO SERVICEMEN REVIVES COLLEGE DAYS

SANTA ANA, Cal., Sept. 25. (UP)
Mail call for 1160 former students of Santa Ana Junior college now in the armed services brings them the Don Letter of the Month, reviving memories of college days.

Since last September, when junior college director John McCoy began sending the letter as a hobby to 60 alumni, requests for it have passed the 1100 mark.

The letters take 50 hours a month to prepare and $35 mailing costs plus paper and printing.

Of the hundreds of letters mailed out, only 25 have been returned in the past 10 months.
