THIS DAY, the anniversary of the birth of our illustrious President, will be celebrated with demonstrations of gratitude and festivity, by every real friend of his country. For such have been his labors, glory, and services in cabinet and field, that
"All tongues speak of him, and the bleared sights
Are spectacled to see him;" as it were
"Some God had crept into his human powers,
And giv'n him graceful posture," At his feet
Fame lays her clarion; "and the elements
So mix in him, that nature may stand up,
And say to all the world,—This is a MAN!"
