His Farewell Sermon.

Missoula, Sept. 24.-Hundreds were turned away from the Christian church this evening who wanted to hear the last sermon by the Rev. J. C. B. Stivers. It was a union meeting and the different churches gave up their usual evening services to permit the people to hear Mr. Stivers preach his farewell sermon. The platform was occupied by Revs. Hayes, Clarke, McAllister and Salsman of the other churches. Rev. Stivers spoke feelingly of the many friends that he has made while in the city and who he is sorry to leave. During the evening beautiful music was rendered. Rev. Stivers will leave this week for Ohio to attend the convention of Christian churches.
