Judge Chase acquitted. Some days since we received the important and pleasing intelligence, that Judge Chase has been honorably acquitted, by the High Court of Impeachments, of the crimes and misdemeanors with which he was accused by the House of Representatives.

The decision took place on the 1st. The following is a statement of the votes, as taken on each article separately.

Those who voted not Guilty, on every article, were Messrs. Adams, Bayard, Dayton, Hillhouse, Osgood, Pickering, Plumer, Tracy, and White - federalists; and Messrs. Bradley, Galliard, Mitchell, J. Smith (of N. Y.) Smith, (of Ohio) and J. Smith. (of Vt.) - democrats.

Those who voted Guilty, on every article save the 8th, were Messrs. Breckenridge, Cocke, Ellery, Houard, and M'Clay. Messrs. Anderson, Baldwin, Brown, Coudit, Franklin, Giles, Jackson, Logan, Moore, S. Smith, Stone, Sumter, Worthington and Wright, voted guilty on some, and not guilty on others, of the articles.

The hon. Uriah Tracy (to his eternal honor be it published) notwithstanding he had been confined to his room for a number of weeks, and his life despaired of, caused himself to be carried to the capitol, and exercised the last act (probably) of his public life, in attesting to the innocence of his venerable friend!
