HEMPHILL REPORTS BIG FISH CAUGHT. LAKE JAMES

A fishing party at Lake James this week took some fine fish out of the muddy waters, according to report made by Fred Hemphill.

Fishing at the canal bridge near his home, he caught a large mouth bass weighing 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Poole, of Forest City, caught another weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces, while Abernathey of Mooresville, landed a beauty of even 7 pounds weight.

It was reported that several parties have taken good catches recently, some dozens of good fish of from 4½ to 6 pounds weight.
