Yesterday arrived the Schooner Matilda, Capt. George Wanton, from New Providence.--She sailed from Baltimore on the 3d of July, for the Bahamas, with a cargo of flour, corn, &c. on board.--On her arrival there, she was not permitted to land any part of her cargo, but was ordered immediately to put to sea again. Capt. Wanton reports, that a vessel belonging to Portsmouth, in Virginia, had been seized there by the Collector, notwithstanding oath had been made of her being in distress, and several other American vessels were ordered out in twenty-four hours under pain of the like seizure.
