Warships and Airplanes to Let Loose in Battle Practice
SAN PEDRO, Cal., April 12. - Southern California is in for a rattling good time today, with the brunt falling on newspaper offices, with queries of "where's the earthquake?." In the vicinity of San Nicholas Island, 104 warships will let loose with all guns in a forced battle practice. This is not to mention 300 airplanes equipped with machine guns taking part in the same maneuvers. In the past the maneuvers have flooded the newspapers with queries.
