AT 1470 FEET IS REPORTED
Another well is reported as coming in at Hebbronville. According to reports received by The Caller, the Kollum Condren well, about 100 feet north of the Mirando lease, was brought in Monday night at a depth of 1470 feet, with 18 feet of pay sand.
There was nothing unusual about the well, the driller going into the pay with no difficulty, shutting off the pressure and capping to await the coming of daylight to bring the well in.
W. T. Ackier, who is in from Hebbronville, said the claim is made that the well will be a producer of anywhere between 100 and 800 barrels.
Mr. Ackier said there was increased activity in the Mirando field and that an added number of derricks had been set up. There are now three standard rigs on the Jones tract which, it is said, will begin drilling next week. Three locations have been made on the Holbein at the present time and three others are rigging up at Brunt. Another rig is setting up a mile east of the Mirando and the Chicago syndicate is setting up four miles southwest of it.
