READING, (PA.) OCT. 10

Tornado.—Tuesday night between 11 and 12 o'clock, a most terrible whirlwind accompanied with rain, was experienced in the central part of this town. Its duration was about 3 minutes, in which time it completely unroofed the two-story printing office of the editor of this paper, and the kitchen attached to the office of discount and deposit. The whole roof of our printing-office, with the decapitated chimneys on it, was driven upwards of 15 yards from the building. The court-house and several other houses were shocked to the very foundation.
