IMPROVEMENTS OF THE M. E. CHURCH.

We were shown to-day by Rev. W. F. Cowles, drawings of proposed improvements to the M. E. Church, Front Street near the corner of Court. The front in style is denominated the Eclectic order. We are told a steeple with an elevation of 100 feet from the ground. The material brick, and the cost $1000. The work to be done the coming season.

This improvement will add very much to the comfort of this large intelligent and wealthy society, and prove a great ornament to the city.

Mr. Cowles is now receiving subscriptions.
