"Dobbs' Farm or Rose Fairlee,"
an operetta in three acts, was rendered by the young ladies who acquitted themselves with much admiration.

"Old Glory, or the Boys of '76,"
an operetta in two acts, was participated in by the boys of St. Anthony School who done wonderfully well.

All in all the exhibition this year was a grand success and in some respects superior to any previous effort of the good Sisters.

Among the ladies who liberally contributed their support to make the occasion a successful one special mention is due Mrs. Lilly Satterly.

St. John's Academy, under the management of Sister Antonine, has become one of the leading institutions of learning in Southwest Louisiana, a fact of which the people of Franklin are justly proud. The Academy during the past year has been greatly enlarged and improved, affording much better accommodations to its largely increasing scholars.

The distribution of premiums took place Wednesday morning at the Convent.
