Messrs. Bliss and Lincoln, commissioners on the part of Massachusetts, in the division of land in this State, belonging to the two states, passed through town, westward, on Saturday last. We understand that the death of Colonel Lewis rendered it impracticable for them to proceed at their late meeting, in making the division of the lands that was contemplated when they assembled. Hon. Daniel Rose, late President of the Senate of this State, has been appointed to succeed Colonel Lewis. The next meeting of the commissioners will be held in Boston in December.
