The East Hartford Council of Churches, consisting of seven Protestant churches has scheduled the Fourth annual Rally for 7:30 Sunday evening Oct. 28, at the Hockanum Methodist Church.
The Rev. Rockwell Harmon Potter, D.D., guest speaker, has chosen as his subject "What Is Christian Faith" Dr. Potter, Dean Emeritus of Hart. ford Theological Seminary and Honorary Minister of Center Congregational Church, Hartford, was ordained in 1898 and is well known as an outstanding preacher and teacher.
The United Choirs under the direction of Miss Doris Rayner will provide music for the service. The committee in charge of arrangements is headed by chairman Mrs. Raymond W. Hollister, First Congregational Church Mrs. Hollister is assisted by: Miss Sally Bryant, St. John's Episcopal; Mrs. Walter Coons, Faith Lutheran; Mrs. Bessie deLahunta, Burnside Methodist; Miss Mildred Hall, Wesley Methodist; Mrs. Pauline Peak, Hockanum Methodist; Louis Weidrich, South Congregational; Mrs. Evelyn Jensen, United Choirs.
