Full Text

Letters from Naples lay, that the King of the Two Sicilies designing to have a good Fleet, his Majesty and his Ministers are very busy, taking all possible Measures to procure Timber for building Men of War, and encourage Officers and Sailors to come from all Parts to serve him. Upon this Occasion we hope our Conduct in regard to the Chastisement we owe the Spaniards, will be such, as that neither our Captains of Ships nor Seamen will have any need to desert their Country for Want of finding Bread in it, or to run into foreign Service for Protection from the Inhumanity and Cruelty shewn them by the Guarda Costas of Spain.
