Jacksonville, Fla., Feb. 2.—United States District Attorney Clark has prepared another libel on the much persecuted Three Friends, and the attorney general has been asked to order the collector here to seize her, as the latter has refused to do so unless expressly ordered. It is stated that the owners are beginning to think that persecution, rather than prosecution is the aim of the government officers.
Will Be Charged With Piracy.
Washington, Feb. 2.—Attorney General Harmon has given instructions to the United States attorney at Jacksonville, Fla., to at once proceed against the alleged filibuster, "The Three Friends," under Section 4297 of the revised statutes, for engaging in an act of piracy.
