The Board of Public Works

report a plan to the council

from Monday for the improvement

of Lincoln Park. Mr. Dubois, the band

special conductor from Chicago, got the

day Sunday looking over the park

and in the evening had a lengthy talk

with the members of the band. Mr.

Dubois thought that a very pretty place

could be made out of the park, and his

views met with the approval of the

band. It is thought he would have the

plan ready in a few days. It appears

likely that the plan will recommend

considerable an expenditure

larger than the council can now make

in that case temporary improvements
