Full Text

Recorder's Court, Yesterday.—Sanford charged with highway robbery—he having made a countryman "shell out" to him near the What Cheer House, the other night—was sent up to the Court of Sessions. Two vagrants found at his lodgings were discharged, they having no complicity in the transaction. An effort was made to prove that they had no visible means of support, but it couldn't be proved on them. They had some provisions on hand, although there is but little doubt that the articles were stolen. A Mexican having in his possession a mule which he was offering to sell at greatly less than its value was discharged, there being no further proof than this against him.
