Captain Clarke, late master of the brig Lion, came passenger in the sloop Atlantic from St. Croix, and has furnished us with the narrative of the loss of his vessel, which we shall publish in our next. Of eight passengers who were on board at the time of the accident, four were received by the ship Eliza Ann, of New York, for Europe, in 6 days after leaving the wreck; the remainder, (Mr. Peter LaTourneur, Mr. Lalobere and his amiable daughter, & Mr. P. Jordan, a Spanish officer) with James Buchanan, the cabin boy were drowned.
