Full Text

OUGHT TO BE PROBED
Inadvertently or intentionally, the fact remains that either through mistake of purchase or shipment Shenandoah County has received a quantity of an oleaginous disinfectant when floor oil was wanted. It is also true that a goodly application of the substance was made to the floor in the County Treasurer's office on Monday and that there was a consequent weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. The strength of the creosote in the disinfectant opened up the tear ducts of the officials and the Associated Order of Regular Loafers, with wailing because of the stifling fumes and gnashing of teeth because of the mistake. Since oil probes are getting to be so popular in official life, it is probable that the Board of Supervisors will order an investigation to fix responsibility for the substitution of disinfectant for floor oil.
