Agricultural Division of the Patent Office.—King Philip Corn.—Mr. R. Baker, of Southport, Chemung county, New York, writing to the Patent Office, says: "More than one year ago I received from your office a sample of King Philip corn for experiment. It was planted, and succeeded well and with the seed procured from my last year's planting, besides furnishing my neighbors with samples of the same, I have now one acre planted, which promises an abundant yield." He concludes with: "I doubt if we have any so early."
