NEW YORK, April 25.--The ceremonies attending the elevation of the Rev. Thomas F. Cusack to the position of auxiliary bishop of New York in St. Patrick's Cathedral this morning were of a most impressive nature. The cathedral was crowded to its utmost capacity with the most prominent Roman Catholics of the metropolis. The ceremony was conducted by Archbishop Farley, who was assisted by Bishop McFaul of Trenton and Bishop Colton of Buffalo. A number of other bishops were in attendance. At the conclusion of the ceremonies many costly presents were bestowed upon the newly consecrated bishop. These included a complete confirmation set presented by Bishop Cusack's former associates in the Apostolate Missionary band. A magnificent episcopal ring set with brilliants came from an unknown New Yorker.
