Full Text

Remarkable Preservation of a Corpse.—Says the Lassen Sage Brush: Mr. E. Mulroney returned last week from Camp McDermitt, with the remains of his former partner, Lewis Wisborne, who was killed two years ago last June. During this long period of interment the body had undergone but very little change, and the skin and hair were perfect except in color. Mr. Wisborne was killed by a knife in the hands of one Bradford, in a difficulty arising from camp duties on a trip to Idaho. The deceased had no known relatives at the time of his death, but left a true and worthy friend in the person of Ned Mulroney, who, obeying the impulses of a noble and generous heart, brought the remains of his old associate from the far off wilderness and deposited them with those of other friends in Susanville, as the last mark of respect which he could pay him on earth.
