AT LAKEWOOD
Good Attendance—Instructive Addresses
The 38th annual campmeeting of the Madison Spiritualists Camp opened last Sunday with a good attendance.
The meetings are being held in the theatre which has been beautifully decorated with flowers and evergreens.
The opening address was delivered Sunday forenoon by Rev. George B. Cutter of Boston and the address was followed by messages.
In the afternoon, Mr. Cutter, who is camp president, presided and introduced Rev. Frederick Nicholson of Boston as the speaker and message bearer.
Mr. Nickerson is the pastor of the Universal church of Boston and his subject was "The Universal Cry."
At the close of the address, Rev. Mr. Cutter sang "There is Only a Thin Vail Between Us."
There was also a vocal solo by Mrs. Marie Lane of Boston.
Prayer was offered by Rev. Mr. Nicholson.
At the Sunday evening meeting, a seance was conducted by Rev. Mr. Nicholson.
Monday afternoon Rev. George B. Cutter delivered an address and a special feature of the evening program was an address by Mrs. M. E. Caldwell, editor of the Progressive Thinker, a spiritualist paper.
Features of the Tuesday meetings were an address by Mrs. Maud I. Torrey of Lynn, Mass., followed by messages and a seance in the evening by Rev. Frederick L. Nicholson.
The program for Wednesday consisted of addresses, messages, and a seance in the evening.
