Full Text

LEGHORN, July 23.
Gen. Wartin, escorted by a detachment of cavalry, set out from this city yesterday. It is believed that he will repair to Leghorn, to assume the command of the troops who are besieging Porto Ferrajo. Ammunition of every kind is continually sending off for use of the army. If this place refuses to surrender, as there is reason to think, it will be attacked on the sea side. The French have received considerable reinforcements, and their number now amounts to 8000.--Our chasseurs and city militia now occupy the different posts which were occupied by the Poles. The latter are destined also, as appears, for Porto Ferrajo.
