Narrow Escape from Drowning.

A small party, consisting of the daughter and son-in-law of W. O. Andrews, a young son of Sam Cowles, and a male friend, all of the Mission, went out in a small, open boat, yesterday afternoon, for the purpose of taking a sail. After getting out of Mission creek, upon the flats, the tide, which was receding, left them stuck in the mud, where they were forced to remain, until after one o'clock this morning. This, considering the high wind and drenching rain during the entire night, may be considered a narrow escape from death.—Bulletin, Wednesday.
