LANDON INVITED TO THE WHITE HOUSE
Washington. Dec. 20.-(U.P.)— Victor and vanquished will sit down together in the White House tomorrow when President Roosevelt receives Gov. Alf. M. Landon whom he defeated in the presidential election.

Gov. Landon, here for the annual gridiron dinner, has accepted Mr. Roosevelt's invitation to stop off at the White House for a friendly chat. Politics will be forgotten and in the evening the two men who between them amassed almost 45,000,000 popular votes, will be the honored guests at the gridiron dinner.

It will be Landon's first visit to the White House and the second time he has met the president.

The Republican nominee first met Mr. Roosevelt during the campaign at Des Moines when the president discussed drought problems with a number of governors of the "Dust Bowl" states.

The meeting probably will take place in Mr. Roosevelt's office adjoining the White House proper. Its length will depend on the president.

The occasion will be just as unprecedented in American political history as was the earlier meeting in Des Moines.
