Full Text

The Waverly Seminary.
The annual commencement of the Waverly Seminary was held last evening in Lincoln Hall, which was filled with the friends of the young ladies and well-wishers of the school. The stage was trimmed tastefully with flowers and evergreens. The young ladies provided an entertainment for their guests which was thoroughly enjoyed, and relieved very happily the usual wearisome monotony of closing exercises. The music, both vocal and instrumental, was of a high order. The graduates, on partial course only, were Miss Virginia Aiken, of South Carolina, and Miss Bertha Linton, of Washington, D. C.
